We have immediate openings for Animal Care Specialists in Saginaw.

You must be available to work Monday through Friday including 1 to 2 weekends per month. The following shifts are available 7:30am-1:00pm or 12:30pm-6:00pm

You would be caring for and handling animals at the facility.

You must have the following experience and skills:

Cleans and disinfects kennels, cages, isolation areas, and other animal housing units

Feeding, watering and providing clean bedding to animals

Walking dogs and provides outdoor time for exercise

Administers routine treatments

Assist with intake exams, weigh-ins and basic record keeping

Previous experience working with animals in a shelter, veterinary or kennel

Ability to work weekends, holidays, and in all weather conditions

Willingness to learn animal behavior, enrichment methods, and basic medical procedures

Passion for animal welfare and commitment to humane care

Detail-oriented and able to follow written protocols and safety procedures

High School diploma or equivalent is required

This position is at an animal kennel where the working conditions can include dog barking.
