Animal Care Specialist Saginaw MI
We have immediate openings for Animal Care Specialists in Saginaw. • Shift Options:
o 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
o 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Schedule: 7 days a week (flexibility required, including weekends)
Position Overview:
Animal Care Specialists are responsible for the daily care and handling of animals in the shelter. This includes feeding, cleaning kennels, monitoring animal health and behavior, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role also involves some custodial duties and interaction with members of the public.
In addition to daily care responsibilities, these staff also assist with:
• Exercising dogs and providing enrichment
• Facilitating playgroups and monitoring animal interactions
• Supporting adoption efforts, including assisting potential adopters and facilitating meet-and-greets
Ideal Candidates Will:
• Be compassionate, reliable, and confident working with animals
• Be comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent noise (including barking dogs)
